These rules are really, really simple. There aren't many, and they aren't very hard to remember.
REGISTERING:
Register with a first and last name. Once you've created your account, then you should change it on your profile's display name, so that it looks like this : john a doe. It doesn't have to be in bold, but it must look EXACTLY like the bold typed name does.
For an admin account, then your welcome to change your display name to whatever you like, a nickname or something, but it must look like this: I LOVE YOU..
CHARACTER LIMIT:
There isn't one. But, there is a ratio to consider. If you already have a few campers, then make a local or two as well. We can't have a small town rpg, if everyone's making campers.
- ALSO: IF YOU HAVE A FEMALE, THEN YOUR NEXT CHARACTER HAS TO BE A MALE.
I stress this so that the ratio of male to female stays reasonably even. I know a lot of girls won't play guys, but it's actually not that bad.
RATINGS GUIDE:
Okay, so this is a small town/camp rpg. There will be the usual subject matter that's found on sites like these. But if you are in a thread that is doing any of these things, (sex, drug use, heavy drinking, etc) Tag it M and fade to black, when you're close to "crossing any lines." It's easier than having the board taken down, am I right?
-If you're caught in a thread that's got mature subject matter in it, (mainly sexual, drinking's not that big of an issue, imo), and it's NOT TAGGED M, then you'll be warned. The second time will be a weeks ban and the third will be banned for good. I realize this seems harsh, but it's the only way to make sure the board isn't reported or taken down.
ACTIVITY LEVEL
First of all.. If you make a character USE THEM. Sign in with all of your characters every day, and post with them at least twice a week. This way if we get interested guests, then the site doesn't seem dead.
-Activity checks won't be heavily enforced until it's noticed that several characters have went MIA.. Then they'll be at best about once or twice a month, depending on the severity.
Again, I know it sounds harsh, but if the rule is followed, then the checks shouldn't be necessary, right?
How they'll be done:
An email will be sent out to all members at least a week in advance. Then a special board will go up, where you will post a link to a current thread in which your character(s) are involved in.
--If you wish to have a character moved to "inactives", until you can play them again, or want to play them again, pm a staff member, and we'll do so. To undo this, you'll have to pm again, so that your application can be moved back into the records area.
BASICS:
No Mary Sues or Gary Stu's. Noone's perfect and noone likes to rp with characters that think they are perfect. Also, no tragedy ridden characters either. Noone's had tragedy after tragedy in their life, and they're a pain to rp with as well. Find that healthy medium, and stick to it.
No Godmodding. Ever. It's just that simple. Also, no powerplaying. If a situation arises where it might help, talk it over with one another, pm an admin and we'll get back to you.
Keep the drama out of Real Life, and in the RP. If you have a problem with someone, be an adult and pm them or an admin and straighten it out. Also, try and thread with everyone you can. I know you have favorite people, but sometimes, it's fun to get outside the comfort zone.
And last, HAVE FUN. This is what an RPG is for, am I right? Have fun, and be creative.
